Continuing the consolidation/copy-over from Tumblr - a collection of Tony Stark Fic Recs.  No Tony shipping, or not one of my regular pairings, these are fics I loved just for Tony on his own :)

An Early Thaw by ironychan

What I loved: No Stony shipping, but some absolutely fantastic Steve & Tony. This is amazing. I love it so much. Romance is not a raison d'être for this story so it runs purely on an exploration, both psychological and logistically, of what would happen if Steve was thawed in a 1980s MCU. Throw in a bad guy plot, a whole bunch of NASA, and this is one of the most fun and exciting Avenger fanfic adventure plotlines I have read in ages. Go! Read it!

Tony Stark is Not a Supervillian by DaughteroftheSilverMoon

What I loved: Marvel villians Poker Club!!! I would read it just for that alone. Room full of snarky bastards having a fun night and looking down their noses at your plebian tastes. This is a fucking delight!!! But then you get their interactions with Tony!!!! *Squeals and bounces* *hugs author* *wants this poker club to be canon in one of the animated universes*

Iron Business Man by silverdrip 

What I loved: Tony being hyper competent and really really good at what he does. I actually like this Pepper, which is always nice when it happens in this MCU-saturated age. 

Space Electric by icarus_chained

What I loved: As advertised, this is a space opera with Tony front and center. All the 1st phase MCU characters come out to play and Jarvis is fully developed and key player.  Very very nice enemies to allies transitions and Tony is at his very BAMFiest and hyper-competent best.  This is EVERYTHING I loved about IM1-era Tony with none of the bad, a dollop of Extremis awesome on top, and a supporting cast of OC’s that are done to perfection in their characterization and what they add to Tony’s story. 

Enough Rope by Amber-and-Ash - Not Team Cap Friendly

What I loved: BAMF, sneaky, saavy Tony. He ran SI well for a long time. He knows how to play politics and PR. He does that to perfection here. Also, I am still bitter about CACW in lots of ways, and I love rolling around in my indignation by reading not Team Cap friendly stuff. This totally scratches that itch.

Cap here is more of a blockhead than I buy for canon, but since the MCU is apparently actively trying to ruin Steve for me, I get a petty joy out of certain caricatures of MCU Cap. If that's going to bum you out, don't clicky.
